Coart

The Coordination of Arts and Creative Workshops (COART) is an educational, and cultural place that aims primarily to foment artistic engagement and the expansion of knowledge, sensibilities, critical thinking, and creativity through the promotion of Creative Workshops and Cultural Events for all the community (inside and outside of UERJ).

COART is an open place for the people processes who want to express themselves through artistic language in our workshops, as well as for those who want to share their expressions through our events.

The Creative Workshops are developed in six artistic languages: visual arts, cinema, body and dance, literature, music, and theater, and are conducted by specialists with socially recognized artistic expertise.

Cultural Events establish a necessary dialogue with society, opening the doors of the university to its artistic expression.

Located in the UERJ’s Cultural Center of UERJ, Campus Maracanã, it is integrated into the Cultural Department (DECULT) of the PR-3 (UERJ Rectorate of Continuing Studies and Culture).

Possui Doutorado em Música pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro- UNIRIO (2018), Mestrado em Educação pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro – PUC-RIO (1998) e Licenciatura em Educação Artística – habilitação música – pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro- UNIRIO (1992). Como Professora Adjunta da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, leciona no Instituto de Aplicação Fernando Rodrigues da Silveira, atua coordenando o Projeto de Extensão “Juventude, Prática Musical e expressão: vivendo e criando música com jovens” e é a Diretora Musical do grupo AH!BANDA oriundo do referido projeto. Também é a coordenadora do Projeto Prodocência “Manifestações Musicais dos Povos Originários do Brasil: investigação e disponibilização de material teórico, imagético e audiovisual”.
