Coordenadoria de Articulação e Difusão Musical CADMUS, established in 2019 with the goal of promoting and integrating musical activities at UERJ, has been providing the university environment with opportunities for practicing musical artistic languages. It organizes concerts, courses, exchanges, primarily of an extensionist nature, and consolidates internal and external partnerships within its scope of operation (Coart, DiTeatro, PR-4, CAp UERJ, Unati-NEH, and others).
Recently, the Altivoz Choir (rehearsals, exchanges, and performances), now in its 30th year of uninterrupted activities, has been officially integrated into CADMUS. This group, in its numerous annual participations, now benefits from the coordination and production provided by CADMUS. This initiative aims to meet the intense demand for musical events from various departments and institutes, producing and executing a year-round program that supports the university's main calendar events.
CADMUS also aims to expand its musical initiatives to remote campuses, such as the Intercampus Hybrid Choir, by publishing content available online. This effort aims to facilitate and provide the tools necessary for occasional rehearsals to take place in distant campuses.
